This week we continued working with the unit “My Body”/ “Mi Cuerpo”, In the last couple weeks the children have learned body parts such as head, hair, eyebrow, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, tongue, teeth, arms, hands, fingers, legs, knees, feet, brain, heart, lungs, stomach, intestines. This week we learned how our body work. We learne

d that the inside of our body is a skeleton/esqueleto made up of all our bones. A bit like a giant coat hanger, our skeleton keeps our body the right shape! I taught them that babies are born with 300 bones. Some of these joins together as their grown. A fully-grown adult has 206 bones. And the skeleton is covered by muscles/musculos. As well, they learned this week that they have more than 600 muscles/musculos in their body. Some help to move food and blood, while others help you move around.

Therefore, this week kids did gross motor activities such as: balance, jump, gross motor activity with hula hoops, obstacles, foot circuit, and more, kids did a great job!!

We incorporated our touch investigation with the vowels, reading books, tracing the vowels, coloring the vowels with different colors, and games of vowels recognition.
