History
Spanish With Sarah began in 2005 as a small after-school enrichment program, where we introduced young children to the Spanish language and culture through engaging, whole-language activities. As interest grew, parents requested parent-tot classes, leading to the launch of our first Spanish immersion preschool class in 2007. The success of this initial class encouraged us to expand, adding a second preschool class in 2008 and a third in 2009.
In 2010, with increasing demand, we moved into a larger building in downtown Camas, where we offered immersion preschool, our first half-day Spanish immersion kindergarten class, and additional after-school enrichment programs.
In 2011, we proudly became an accredited school in Washington state and relocated again to a larger space with more classrooms in Camas. We continued to expand by adding a new grade each year, culminating in our first graduating class of fifth graders in the 2015-2016 school year.
Since 2015, Spanish With Sarah has been a full dual-immersion elementary program, offering four Spanish immersion preschool classes, dual-language Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, three after-school enrichment programs, and morning Spanish classes for high school credit.
Spanish With Sarah was founded with a genuine desire to give children the opportunity to experience a love of learning through a second language. Our school has grown into a close-knit community of families working together to provide an enriching, supportive educational environment… that just happens to be in Spanish.
