This week we continued working with “The Farm” topic. The kids learned that on the farm live different kinds of animals such as dogs, cats, cows, chickens, pigs, sheep and other animals. This week we learned all about the chicken and their products: eggs and meat. They learned that the chicken is one kind of bird because they have wings, feathers, and they lay eggs. They learned that there are more chickens in the world than any other bird or domesticated fowl, and that people keep chickens primarily as a source of food, consuming both their meat and eggs.We read “La Gallina en la Granja” and “La Gallinita Roja”. The kids did activities related with our topic such as the chicken life cycle, chicken paper plate, paper tractor, and farmer. Also, they tried the chicken products in our snack time with boiled eggs and chicken. Some of them like to eat eggs and others prefers chicken 😊.
